Allah SWT said in Holy Quran:
“Do Hajj and Umrah to make Allah happy.”
Umrah is called the “minor Hajj,” and a Muslim can do it at any time of the year except for the five days of Hajj. One who starts out on the path for Umrah with the intention of doing it right is considered a pilgrim until he gets back home.
Purpose of performing umrah
In a Hadith that is written about in Ibn Maajah’s book, the Holy Prophet PBUH said, “Those who do Hajj and Umrah are Allah’s representatives. If they call on Him, He answers, and if they ask for forgiveness, He forgives them. In this Hadith, the meaning of Umrah is made clear.
Umrah’s main and most important goal is to cleanse the soul of sins done in the past. A Muslim can do Umrah more than once in his lifetime. This means that the sins he committed between his first Best Umrah Ramadan Packages and his second Umrah will also be forgiven, because Allah Almighty always accepts his confession. Hazrat Abu Huraira RA says that the Prophet SAW said, “An Umrah to another Umrah will make up for any small sins that happen between them. One can have more faith and worship Allah Almighty better if his body and soul are clean and if he only wants to do good things for the sake of his Lord.
Since Allah Almighty has a reward for every good thing His people do, when someone gives their money, time, or anything else to the Almighty, as a reward, Allah protects them from trouble. In the same way, going on Umrah keeps you from being poor and unhappy because you spend your money and time on Allah SWT. Ibn e Masood RA said that the Holy Prophet SAW said, “Keep doing the Hajj and Umrah, because they will definitely get rid of poverty and sins, just as fire gets rid of dirt on iron, gold, and silver.” The story makes it clear that going on Umrah not only cleans your soul but also makes your life better. Also, Umar bin Khattab RA said that the Prophet PBUH said, “Following up between the two of them lengthens life, gets rid of poverty and sins, just like fire gets rid of dirt.”
Umrah is like Hajj in that it is one of the best ways to please Allah. Allah loves and is happy with pilgrims who walk on His path to please Him. He sees this as them answering His calls. Ibn e Umar RA says that the Holy Prophet SAW said, “The person fighting for Allah, the pilgrim, and the person doing Umrah are all Allah’s representatives. He called them, and they answered. If they want his advice, they can get it from him.
By doing Umrah in the month of Ramadan, you have the best chance of getting the reward for doing Hajj with the last Messenger of God. Holy prophet SAW told his friends how important it was to do Umrah in Ramadan. He also said that doing Umrah in the month of blessings has the same benefits as doing Hajj with the Prophet SAW Himself. In one of the Hadith stories, a woman heard that Allah’s Messenger was going to perform Hajj, so she asked her husband if she could go with him. Her husband told her, “I don’t have a way to get you where you need to go.” She told him, “Put me on that camel of yours.” “That is held up in the way of Allah,” the husband said. The men went to the Holy Prophet SAW and told him, “My wife sends her greetings to you and has asked me to take her with you on Hajj.” “I don’t have anything to carry her on,” I told her. The husband then told the Holy Prophet that everything had happened in his house. Then the Holy Prophet told him, “If you carried her on it to Hajj, it would still be in Allah’s path.” She also told me to ask you SAW, “What is Hajj like for you, O Messenger of Allah?” He SAW said, “Give her my greetings and tell her that performing Umrah in the month of Ramadan is the same as performing Hajj with me.” There are several ways to get the reward for Hajj by doing Umrah during Ramadan. Ibn Abbas told us that the Holy Prophet PBUH said, “Umrah done in the month of Ramadan will have the same rewards as Hajj or Hajj done with me PBUH.” This is one of the strongest Hadiths about this.
If someone is on the way to Umrah and dies during this holy journey, they will definitely go to Jannah. Hazrat Aisha RA said that the Holy Prophet PBUH said, “Whoever leaves his home only for Hajj or Umrah and dies, nothing will be given to him and he won’t be responsible for anything on the Day of Judgment. It will be said to him, “Enter Jannah.” Jannah, which is what every Muslim wants, is where these people will go.
